Summer in San Diego is pure magic, and these Summer Mini Sessions at Mission Beach are the perfect way to capture everything we love about childhood during this season.

These sessions are designed especially for kids and are all about celebrating summer in a fun, playful, and carefree way. Bring on the pastel color swimsuits or Summer outfits, laughter, and all those joyful moments that make childhood so unforgettable.
This year's Summer Minis will take place at beautiful Mission Beach, one of my favorite locations for children's photography in San Diego. With the colorful beach homes, swaying palm trees, soft sand, and iconic Southern California beach vibe, Mission Beach creates the perfect backdrop for timeless summer portraits.
These sessions are relaxed and playful. We'll run, laugh, play in the sand, and capture genuine expressions and personalities along the way. My goal is always to create images that feel authentic and truly reflect your child at this stage in life.
Whether your child is shy, adventurous, silly, or full of energy, these minis are designed to be quick, easy, and fun.

Are these really just for kids?
Yes, only kids for my minis.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately no, but I do offer kids minis with their pets every September
Can my child's best friend come to the shoot?
Yes, that is a great opportunity to get photos together. Make sure each child has their own consecutive booking. The sibing discount is for siblings only.
Do you choose the three photos I get with the package or do I?
You choose. I will deliver a gallery with at least 20 images and you pick your favorites.
What if I want to keep more?
You can! Extra photos are $30 each or you can keep all the photos in the gallery for $189 (this special price is only for my kids minis)
What age is ideal for these?
The Summer Minis are ideal for kids all ages. If they are under 18 this is the session for them.
What should my child wear?
For this specific session I recommend pastel colors. I will bring the floaties seen on the photos.
Can I apply sunscreen on my child?
Yes, you should! Just make sure it is not the mineral ones that will make their skin white or the super oily ones.
Why are these so early in the morning?
A few reasons: best light at the beach, less traffic, less crowds in the parking lot and all around the sand and boardwalk. I actually recommend the weekday one for even less crowds.
